Since its inception as the Wentworth Falls Volunteer Bushfire Brigade, the Brigade has been an important part of the Wentworth Falls community, providing fire protection services and other forms of assistance in times of need. The Brigade is now part of one of the world's leading fire and emergency services, primarily providing bushfire suppression and mitigation services, but also has a role in assisting other emergency services with storm damage recovery, search and rescue assistance, and occasional snow patrol operations.
